Father Ayub Francis Nasar is a Roman Catholic Priest and a certified Spiritual Director. He serves as Chaplain at Saint Mary’s Mercy Medical Center and is the Lead Chaplain of the Department of Pastoral Care at St. Mary’s Mercy Living Center Long-term Facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Father Ayub also helps out in the Grand Rapids Diocesan parishes. He has built strong connections between the hospital and the diocese, parishes and communities in West Michigan. Father Ayub is a wonderful priest, and a humble servant of God.
Biography:
Born on February 1, 1958 in the State of Punjab, Pakistan, in the remote Muslim Village of Cheema Chak NO. 268/R.B.
Graduated from Saint Thomas High School boarding House Khushpur, which is called "Rome of Pakistan"
Studied two years at Saint Mary’s Minor Seminary in Lahore, Pakistan
Earned a Fine Arts Degree at Shah Hussain College in Lahore, Pakistan
Earned a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy and a Master’s Degree in Theology at Christ the King Seminary, National Catholic Theological Institute, in Karachi, Pakistan
Ordained a Deacon six month prior to his ordination into the priesthood on June 28, 1985; for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Faisalabad, Pakistan
Has been affiliated with many religious organizations including the Legion of Mary, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and several groups of youth ministries
Performed chaplain duties for two years at St. Raphael’s Hospital in Faisalabad, Pakistan

In 1997 accepted position as Chaplain at Saint Mary’s Health Services and Community Health Care System, now called Saint Mary’s Medical Center and Saint Mary’s Mercy Living Center, in Grand Rapids, Michigan
