The 2010 ARISE! Young Adult Conference is just around the corner. A time for all young adults ages 18-35 in the west Michigan area to come together and worship as one community. Featuring various speakers and musicians, including Amanda Vernon as the emcee, this event will challenge all who attend to boldly live out their Catholic faith.
Date of the conference: Sunday, February 28, 2010
Location: Aquinas College Wege Student Center Ballroom and Loutit Room
Conference Hours: 12:00 - 11:00 pm; Mass at 8:00 pm in Bukowski Chapel
Meals: Meal Tickets will be available upon request
A word from Nick Perez, ARISE! Event Coordinator:
"This year’s theme: BE THE REMEDY: Giving Hope to the World will give us a first hand look at what it means to live a holy life. A wide array of speakers and presenters have been brought together to give witness to this theme and give inspiration to aid in our call to holiness in every aspect of our lives. Thomas Awiapo will share his uplifting story as a beneficiary of Catholic Relief Services school feeding programs in Ghana to coordinating the global efforts of solidarity for CRS. Sr. Clare Hunter FSE who is the Director for Respect Life for the Diocese of Arlington, Va will be delivering a powerful message regarding the importance of the sanctity of life. Alex Lentine will return to give conclusion to his journey towards the priesthood and help guide us to acknowledge what God has in store for our lives. Last but not least we will once again have the privilege to be guided in worship throughout the day by the musical stylings of Abacus.
