Biography 


Profile:

At age 24, Amanda Vernon is, first and foremost, a dedicated servant of God.  Born in the great Midwest state of Wisconsin, she was baptized Roman Catholic  on October 14, 1987 by her grandfather, Deacon Kenneth Vernon.  She grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan as the oldest of seven children and was home schooled from 1st - 12th grade.  On September 5th, 2009, Amanda married her best friend, David Shaheen.  They welcomed their first child into the world 13 months later, are expecting their second child in April, 2012, and look forward to following where God next leads. 

 

Accomplishments: 

Began singing publicly at age 5, and playing the piano at age 7

Held roles in nationally distributed Catholic children’s videos, including “The Rosary for Little Children

Was a repeat guest on the EWTN LIVE call-in television program, "Life on the Rock"

Released four full-length recording projects:

Shared her musical gifts in seven countries at numerous churches, youth rallies, and special events, including:

World Youth Day 2008 and 2011 in Sydney, Australia and Madrid, Spain, respectively.
